Even if it doesn't there is a Fx extension that supports several d/l managersFlashgot

And a suggestion, please add support for mms ar rtsp, it's really the only reason several others and me are not using FDM.

one more thing from me (still not tested the beta): even if you disable all download limitations, you can't do more than 20 downloads simultaneously. is there a reason for that or could you please disable that? when you have slow servers and lots of bandwidht, more than 20 downloads could come quite handy.

With the speed issue I reffered to earlier in regards to 2.3 compared to 2.1, am I the only one having problems? Maybe someone could try downloading a file of x size with 2.3 say twice, get the speed, then try the same with 2.1 with the same file. With mine its definately slower, and that was even with a clean system (I tested it straight after putting x64 clean install, sp2 & avast antivirus only).

Tried beta 3 today, works flawlessly! The two issues I noticed with beta 1 are now resolved... I guess this was intentional?! speed is perfect and the download progress indicator (for normal downloads) now works properly like it should)!

After installing 632 beta version cannot type not-English language (Unicode) in "inside web site" text boxes like search box
It’s became gibberish
No problem inside google toolbar or outside IE7

No such problems with 610

After uninstalling FDM the problem vanish

Thanks

Rapidshare premium download still broken, works on one or two files in the list, the rest fail and just download HTML files in the real download's place. FireFox extension causes FireFox to crash on startup.

Looks like I'm going back to Orbit again, although the feature set of Orbit is pretty lean, rapidshare downloads never fail. I can leave the files queued up for days and they still work great.. I'll be back to try again.. FDM features are great, I really wish it did what I need it to do :(

torrent support is not unnecessary, but there should be an option to stop it. during install (best) or in preference (better than no option at all). i use utorrent, a great free and light program, so if fdm is not better in all respect, i would prefer using utorrent for torrents, for the minimal size alone.

that's what I meant. there are other tools specialized in torrents, so FDM should stick to its roots, at least if it doesn't have the uber feature we all were waiting for but didn't know it.

3 comments from me:
0. I didn't test the beta, but:
1. could it be possible to add a feature that changes the source of a download if you found mirrors but your current source doesn't allow multiple parts and/or resuming? so you change to a server that allows all this?
2. the torrent support is unnecessary, unless it turns every download automaticly into a torrent. otherwise I'd rather use 2 programs. could you make torrent support an install option, so users of Azureus/utorrent/etc can use a lighter version of FDM?

I have another request. Not a big deal, just an inconvenience.

Could you make the Site Name and Group fields in Site Manager sortable? Either that or add a find option to that screen.

The reason is. I often find that downloads from a particular site keep going to a group that no longer applies. I have to reselect the group name on each download from that site. When I go to the Site Manager screen, I have a difficult time trying to find the entry to change. (I have a lot of entries)

Low priority. Just wanted to add that to the wishlist.

Thanks.

Thank you for continuing to improve your great product. I am always amazed that some people complain about software like yours that they get for free. I am most grateful. I personally stopped doing free favors for clients and friends or even giving them price cuts. Their small minds didn't respect me or the software unless they had to pay big bucks. Crazy world.

I have 2 related requests for a new (modified) feature(s).

Could you add more field options (other than file) to the virus scanning arguments? I've written a batch file that uses the virus check option to run through all the downloads on my list and tell me which files no longer exist. I then prune those files from FDM manually. Manually pruning is a pain, thus request 2. I would also like to use the additional parms to do such things as add the url, FDM Group, comments and the DSC.TXT information to a descript.ion file and possibly to the Windows XP comment for that file. This information will then be able to be picked up by the the WhereIsIt program when it scans my hard drive.

Request 2 would be for you to add an option similiar to your "delete all completed downloads." An option to "remove deleted downloads from the FDM list" would be great. Your FDM list is a better way for me to keep track of my downloads, but the files often get removed through other means. This option would help keep FDM memory and handle usage lower.

Thank you for your program and your consideration of these enhancements.
