Sorry about that Guest, didn't see your link. Forget the previous post. have this link already and it doesn't have instructions for Free Dowm=nload Manager.Thanks.
Usually router/ proxies do port forwarding. I don't really know what you want to do since FDM does not work as a proxy and, because of that, it is not able to do it.
I included the link since I don't see the point for port forwarding in FDM. What's your reason for it?
If you mean the "remote" feature, port forwarding can't work since it does not forward anything. You simply give it your url and the fdm "server" downloads it to it's local filesystem.
But if you want it to "upload (NOT REALLY)" it to your own computer a solution would be to share the fdm "servers" download directory with your own computer. See Windows help files for more informations. Another solution would be to set up another server (i.e. ftp) and share your files that way, but to be honest, it's pretty ineffective and I don't really see the reason for all the hassle.
I've been used port forwarding a lot of times. Every application like VNC ... work fine for me, and it means, it isn't my fault. but honestly fdm doesn't work with port forwarding. Remote Control makes FDM unique but it has a big bug!!!
