Hey, I had the same problem, the .dll is there but still no context menu in Chrome. I've found this extension that seems to solve the problem: Downloaders. (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/downloaders/lfjamigppmepikjlacjdpgjaiojdjhoj)

After installing it, you can choose your download manager (FDM is supported as well) and it adds the "download this link" and "download all" options to the context menu. It works like a charm, so far.

The extension requires to "Access all data on your computer and the websites you visit". I am not sure if this could cause a problem.

I already tried this; it does not work. I even deleted the npfdm.dll file, followed your steps and noticed that the new npfdm.dll is created under the plugins folder. However, still nothing is listed under the context menu :/

My Chrome version is 32.0.1700.107 m. Yes, I searched the forums. The main problem was the installation folder and admin user rights. Many complained about not being able to install the npfdm.dll file. That's why I mentioned that I already have the Plugins folder along with the dll file. However, I still don't have any FDM actions listed under the context menu.

You haven't named your Chrome version. Follow reporting suggestions, please, otherwise your report is not helpful.
Chrome developers changed plugin location some time ago and now they are going to abandon old plugin API, so some FDM versions may be NOT compatible with some Chrome versions. You should read carefully older messages before posting, please, as the changes has been already explained earlier.

Hi,

I'm using Chrome(64-bit) on Windows 8.

npfdm.dll is located under "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\Plugins" folder, but FDM is still not added to Chrome's context menu. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Dear developer can you built a crx file for chrome which helps in
1. context menu in chrome
2. download files from chrome
3. Show "download with fdm" whenever a media is playing in chrome browser.

thank you

This simply does not work in Chrome.

What a bummer, I'll have to find something else.

"Allow the browser to download if you press Cancel"

Is this not working with Chrome or just for me?
