I think you should install FDM as follows:
1. Install FDM.
2. Run Chrome, install FDM extension from the Chrome Web Store and close Chrome.
3. Run FDM and make sure that Chrome monitoring is turned on.

Could you please hit F12 next time you see that message and take a screenshot with "console" tab viewable?

Try logging out of Webstore.

My problem report:

General description:
It is not possible to enable Google Chrome monitoring.
I tick "Google Chrome" in Options\Settings\Monitoring and then press OK.
The tick is automatically removed every time (it is always remains unticked).
As a result FDM can not capture downloads from Chrome. The Context menu option is also missing.
OS: Windows 8.1
Browser: Google Chrome, version 35.0.1916.114 m
FDM version: 3.9.4 build 1472

Thanks

I have problem integrating FDM to Google Chrome.
I'm enabling it through Options\Settings\Monitoring\Google Chrome and pressing OK.
But it remains unchecked when I open the settings menu again.
Please help me.

Thanks

Thanks for your observations.
FDM 3.9.4 uses new plugin for Chrome and Opera, so some features may be buggy or still unavailable. All bug reports are welcome, if they follow the reporting rules.

Still not resolved yet ...

I installed the extension directly from Chrome store, as suggested. It brings up a popup window prompting me to install FDM; if I decline this window, the extension removes itself as if it were never installed. If I accept the window, it automatically begins downloading the latest fdminst.exe and then the extension stays resident. I ignore the downloaded file, since I already have a portable FDM set up.

FDM has a menu item "File > Create portable version". This resulting portable version is the one that I use all the time. It does not seem to communicate with my Chrome extension, even though I have created the registry value suggested (as a DWORD). I am sure I have put it in the right place, because there already exists a sibling value there called "IECMInited" that changes from 1 to 0 whether FDM is running or not. (Incidentally, this is puzzling behavior, as I wouldn't expect a portable version to alter the registry, yet it does appear to do so.)

Thanks for helping!
