Just installed the latest version from the source forge after having used FDM for several months (and after many initial problems on the first occasion).

Well, the problems with the new installation are back. I am really getting over FDM, which is a shame because for about six months there it ran well and downloaded hundreds of You Tube files.

That is, I cannot download and functions are missing (context menu items, 'download with FDM' button).

No, I have wasted too many hours searching the threads, just tell me what is wrong please. I am tired

Useful stuff...
FDM ver. 3.8 build 1173 (6,7 Mb, setup) ,
Firefox 10.0.2 or something
Firefox Free Download Manager plugin is no longer compatible with FF 10.0.2. But yesterday (before I uninstalled/reinstalled FDM) I had no problems.
Monitor in FDM settings is set to Firefox.
Context menu option in FDM settings is checked.
No change to firewall, av etc. All that has changed is that I uninstalled my old FDM because of buggy problems, ran a cleaner, and installed this newer version. Suddenly everything is unworking.
I am only interested in downloading videos, mainly from YouTube.
I am starting the video and letting it run for some time. This does not help.

Problem
No 'Download with FDM' button.
No context menu options are shown, despite the option being checked within FDM settings.
On one occasion I downloaded successfully by choosing the 'Flash Video' tab and manually adding the URL. On other occasions all I get downloaded is the familiar 'Index.htm' file of a few bytes.

Please help. Can someone provide a handy checklist of all settings that a Firefox user should check?
(Such a list would probably solve this issue for most users once and for all).

If I had a gajillion dollars I would pay you :)
