i have opera 11.62. and fdm 3.8 and works fine. But for some extensions you have to go "preferences+ advanced+ downloads" and edit what to do with that mime type. Fdm should appear as a plug in.

Help. How to integrate Free Download Manager in the context menu of the Opera?
Standard procedures performed in settings FDM. In other well-known browsers integration was successful.
