Or something like this.. may be with the last two active downloads.. (or more bars, if taskbar size is made taller)

Internet Download manager, Internet download accelerator, etc. has already implemented this "progress bar" feature.

Look like Microsoft made this feature as simple as possible to implement, seems it's part of the Windows 7 Taskbar API.

Windows 7 Taskbar APIs

Hopefully it's not to hard to intergate in FDM code base.

It would be nice if FDM taskbar icon could be updated to have the intergrated progress bar in Windows 7 like the Explorer and Internet Explorer icons do.
