Thanks Max - this works perfectly for me. Now, let's see if my next chrome update breaks it :).

Instead of pointing FDM to chrome plugin folder, just point it to the install directory of FDM.
Restart both Chrome and FDM - Voila! It works!

Tested on Win7 x64

I tried download the add on mentioned here but am having some weird issued.

It works fine for the first page (right click, download all), but then when I go to the second page, and do the same, it also includes all the links from the first page... Third page does from page 1 and 2 and so on.

I am not sure if it is a bug with the Chrome Addon or with FDM.

Anyone else? (I tested on thepiratebay (legal torrents - search trailers), filter for "torrent", go to next page and repeat).

I tried Download Assistant (by Google) and it works for me. Just look for the extension in the Chrome Web Store. Install it. Restart your browser. Then open up the options for Download Assistant (by Google) and choose which program you want to use to download your files.

Solution posted by maxdime1 worked 1st time.

I've used this on a Win7 64-bit and Win XP SP3 system, with latest Chrome versions.

Regards.

I HATE being the JERK who complains before I have a chance to thank the DEV's ... This is by far the BEST program and for the price while lets just say you guys are like heros!!! 8) 8)

:( HOWEVER

I have recently been getting fed up with this beatiful software. There should be a way to get the app to make a plugin's folder, migrate the plugin folder, find it and fix it etc.

Perhaps even a test settings button for the different browsers.... ONLY because this is the PARAMOUNT purpose for using the software and many novice users who would love the software and could really enjoy its features clearly would end up not using it and eventually uninstalling it over what should be a simple fix.

:( You know this problem happens, every time without fail I update google chrome. I always take about a week before I just have to fix it but the problem I get is :

: Plugin Folder exists (from Before still there)
: Chrome Still Checked (always try a unclick close app : open app click check box)

:x NO OPTION FOR PLUGINS FOLDER though one exists !!!!

Even an uninstall, reinstall keeps the settings (plugin folder already specified and box checked)

So without the ability to actually alter the plugin folder when it changes and not knowing where it is burried in the settings .ini or whatever... I have to regflush and reinstall ... Sometimes I get so fed up I

FORMAT MY OS THIS says 2 things one that it is really a difficult thing to stay on top of if the software can't automate it in any way AND 2

   THAT I LOVE FREE DOWNLOAD MANAGER

FDM keeps its settings in registry. For Chrome plugins you should turn off FDM, run regedit, go to key
Code:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\FreeDownloadManager.ORG\Free Download Manager\Settings\Monitor
and find "ChromePDI" value. It should contain path to Chrome plugin directory. Now you can:
* Delete the value, run FDM, turn on Chrome monitoring and specify Chrome plugin directory manually when FDM asks for it.
* Change the value manually, if you have Chrome monitoring enabled in FDM and the path is incorrect.

FDM does not recognize the existence of Comodo Dragon. I suspect it is because Dragon's executable file is named "dragon.exe" instead of "chrome.exe".

So do rename it, please, and report, if it works.
