It now works with IE7, thank you!
But the Skip list seems not work for me.
I put Gmail address in list, but FDM keeps catching it.
I put this string:
"http://mail.google.com https://mail.google.com" (without quotes).

About Bit Torrent support:
Great feature! Today I use uTorrent. A feature I like in uTorrent that FDM misses is about show the torrent content and let me choose what files I will download.
By the way, a question about this feature: can I create a section from a torrent and an HTTP file? I was thinking about it, since some download pages support both links (see Nero's download).

Yes thats true! My main concern regarding 2.3 though is its speed when compared to 2.1. No matter what I try with 2.3, the speed say for a particular download maxes out at around 52kb/s. Just downloading in firefox or IE, the speed would be around 150-170Kb/s, and if I used FDM 2.1 the speed would be around 520 kb/s. So 2.3 is roughtly 1/10th the speed as 2.1!

You should specify domain names only, without http, https or ftp.

Use Shift+Delete
You should see a message warning that you are deleting the downloaded file.

Please add a feature that allows you to change the download directory from the properties of an item that is in queue. I was surprised when I tried to do this and I couldn't.

Also, when adding a download and editing the filename, it would be nice if selecting it would not select the extension, maybe a toggle to hide the extension here. Also, again in the properties if you could edit the saved file name.

Thanks, otherwise, the current beta is working extremely well so far.

With the speed issue I reffered to earlier in regards to 2.3 compared to 2.1, am I the only one having problems? Maybe someone could try downloading a file of x size with 2.3 say twice, get the speed, then try the same with 2.1 with the same file. With mine its definately slower, and that was even with a clean system (I tested it straight after putting x64 clean install, sp2 & avast antivirus only).

Is it possible to add more torrent features? e.g. who is connected to you, what is your upload, what is your ratio etc? That would be great!!

Thank you for continuing to improve your great product. I am always amazed that some people complain about software like yours that they get for free. I am most grateful. I personally stopped doing free favors for clients and friends or even giving them price cuts. Their small minds didn't respect me or the software unless they had to pay big bucks. Crazy world.

I have 2 related requests for a new (modified) feature(s).

Could you add more field options (other than file) to the virus scanning arguments? I've written a batch file that uses the virus check option to run through all the downloads on my list and tell me which files no longer exist. I then prune those files from FDM manually. Manually pruning is a pain, thus request 2. I would also like to use the additional parms to do such things as add the url, FDM Group, comments and the DSC.TXT information to a descript.ion file and possibly to the Windows XP comment for that file. This information will then be able to be picked up by the the WhereIsIt program when it scans my hard drive.

Request 2 would be for you to add an option similiar to your "delete all completed downloads." An option to "remove deleted downloads from the FDM list" would be great. Your FDM list is a better way for me to keep track of my downloads, but the files often get removed through other means. This option would help keep FDM memory and handle usage lower.

Thank you for your program and your consideration of these enhancements.

I have another request. Not a big deal, just an inconvenience.

Could you make the Site Name and Group fields in Site Manager sortable? Either that or add a find option to that screen.

The reason is. I often find that downloads from a particular site keep going to a group that no longer applies. I have to reselect the group name on each download from that site. When I go to the Site Manager screen, I have a difficult time trying to find the entry to change. (I have a lot of entries)

Low priority. Just wanted to add that to the wishlist.

Thanks.

3 comments from me:
0. I didn't test the beta, but:
1. could it be possible to add a feature that changes the source of a download if you found mirrors but your current source doesn't allow multiple parts and/or resuming? so you change to a server that allows all this?
2. the torrent support is unnecessary, unless it turns every download automaticly into a torrent. otherwise I'd rather use 2 programs. could you make torrent support an install option, so users of Azureus/utorrent/etc can use a lighter version of FDM?
