I just downloaded the new version this morning. I downloaded a bit torrent next and was able to upload while the torrent was downloading. After the torrent finished downloading, I was no longer uploading and haven't uploaded anything since. There are many leechers for this torrent as well as other torrents still in my fdm. I am also now firewalled which I wasn't with the previous fdm version. Any ideas what happened?I am also not a computer programmer or computer science major.

I got it from this site. Apparently by downloading directly from this site, I got a version that didn't have the optimization master tab, but by going to the recommended site for download which I saw further down the page gave me the version with the optimization master tab. I think my issue is resolved, but will wait until I download another bit torrent hust in case.

We had never release such version of FDM.
By the way thank you for the report. This bug (torrents may not seed) will be fixed in the next update.

OK Alex-I think I now have the right fdm version-3.0 Build 852. I have no idea how the other version was installed-Unless there is an exact duplicate website for the fake version I could have sworn I was on your site. And before you ask-I quit drinking 15 years ago. My only question now is do you have any idea how long before the bug is fixed in order to upload and continue seeding after downloading is complete. Thanks for the info about having a fake version.

Download and install the latest BETA 6 version (see the appropriate topmost topic on this forum).
It seems there is no this problem in it anymore.

OK I did that and am uploading-however I am listed as firewalled "protocol error 1 no/erroneous BT client listening or misconfigured router" The version I installed just to make sure it isn't fake is 3.8 Beta 6 Build 1153. Now the previous message has been replaced with connection refused definetly firewalled". i am still uploading. Should this newer version have the optimization master tab which allowed me to set my DSL connection speed?

We removed optimization master. FDM determines connection speed automatically. But you can still specify it manually in options (Network settings).
