Another feature request. If a file hash is entered, and then upon beginning the download, if the filename is found to exist, can you compare hash? If different then allow client to automatically do (as user sets in options):
Since you can already compare a download to its hash, you have he core to generate any hash of any file. So, I'm guessing this would not be too hard to implement....
I used to use (back in the day) some downloader called CDownloader (?) - a Chinese built downloader that downloaded a small bit of the file and compared it to existing files on the local folder and it would know when a file already existed or not, saving the burden of having to download the entire file only to realize that you wasted the time.
I realize that BW is cheap these days, but still, the files we DL are also a lot larger than 15 years ago, so it is worth a shot.
Finally, my apologies if this (or my previous post) has already been requested. I started thumbing through each individual page trying to see if they had been but did not find much, and got lazy. I tried to search but could not find any relevant posts, either, but I was not very diligent in my searching.
