Alloy Discovery analyzes all computers on the network and collects their hardware, OS, and installed software details in the form of audit snapshots. These audit snapshots are delivered back to the host machine and organized in a single repository, where the data can be further analyzed and reported on. Alloy Discovery offers a variety of methods to deploy the audit on various parts of the local network, or even at remote sites that have no direct access from the local network.
While being primarily focused on auditing Windows domain and workgroup networks, Alloy Discovery also includes audit agents for Linux and Mac. Paired with the abilities to initiate PC audits at user request or on schedule, and to configure different delivery method for audit snapshots (e.g. over LAN, via a shared folder, or by e-mail) Alloy Discovery is truly a comprehensive and universal network inventory solution. It addresses the needs of IT administrators and IT service providers, often required to audit computers in "hard to reach places", such as remote offices, client networks, DMZ, and even standalone computers and laptops.
Allow Discovery offers integration features with 3rd party tools and applications for computer management. It is packaged with pre-configured profiles for a number of tools including Remote Desktop Connection, so you can can ping, open the Computer Management console, or initiate a remote management session with any computer in your repository in just a couple of mouse clicks.
Alloy Discovery is extremely easy to install and maintain. Clean and intuitive user interface allows you to access audit data with ease. Flexible data filtering, grouping, and sorting enables you to conveniently analyze your inventory data. With the point-and-click interface of the advanced filter you can create complex filtering criteria to achieve the desired level of detail.
