It has web interface with the similar form and controls on the local and distant computers. Users see MPEG coded video and have complete management of the program via network that surveillance computer can be run without monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Software`s modular composition significantly improves reliability because all parts act as independent applications. If one component freezes, other units keep on running. For instance if the `capture` component stops working, `watchdog` starts again it immediately that viewers don`t notice anything because they are watching picture through a `playback` part. The software does `repeated` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never happens. The recording can be non-stop or it can be turned on by movement, human face recognition, or by calendar. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance workstation as well as on remote station via Web interface. The software performs synchronized video playback for event examination from many webcams at the same time. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded information can be encrypted and password protected.
