The program has been designed as general program for surveillance hybrid platforms running all together with wireless and wired Internet cameras, Television-cards, capture cards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the same form and controls on the local and distant workstations. Users view MPEG coded picture and have complete control of the program via network that security workstation can be operated without screen, keyboard, and mouse attached. Program`s modular composition significantly boosts reliability because all modules operate as autonomous programs. If one component fails, other components keep on running. For instance if the `capture` component freezes, `watchdog` restarts it immediately that viewers don`t notice anything because they are viewing video via a `playback` module. The software makes `cyclic` recording that the `disk full` situation never occurs. The recording can be non-stop or it can be triggered by movement, human face detection, or by calendar. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance pc as well as on distant workstation using Web interface. The software does simultaneous video playback for event analysis from many webcams at the same time. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded data can be encrypted and password protected.
