The software has been designed as common application for security hybrid platforms working at the same time with wireless and wired Internet cameras, Television-boards, capture cards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the equal appearance and controls on the local and remote computers. Users see MPEG coded picture and have complete control of the program through net that surveillance server can be run without monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Program`s modular configuration drastically improves reliability because all components proceed as autonomous applications. If one component freezes, other components go on running. For instance if the `capture` component freezes, `watchdog` restarts it immediately that users don`t notice anything because they are viewing picture via a `playback` unit. The software does `repeated` recording that the `disk full` situation never appears. The recording can be constant or it can be activated by motion, human face detection, or by calendar. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance pc as well as on distant computer using Web interface. The program performs synchronized video playback for event analysis from multiple cameras simultaneously. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
