OpenXML Writer is an opensource editor that is able to generate the newly ratified Office OpenXML Wordprocessing files (extension .docx). The .docx files can be opened and further edited by Word 2007 and other softwares that support the Office OpenXML format. The Writer requires the .Net 3 Framework runtime to be installed on the user's machine. It supports basic paragraph formatting like justification and indentation. It also allows formatting of font sizes, colors, families and styles. On top of that , it includes a spell checker that can be toggled on or off.

| I am Mozambican who just started with these new techonogies and I have been receiving some correspondence that I am unable to read it by not having what i have just requesting you. I will apreciate to have in my computer the program so that I can be able to read what my friends, parterns want to inform, advise, consult and thank. We are in 3 world Country where this king of technologies still a blessing to many. The Churches and many organizations is playing a big role to make this possible as result in this are of Maxixe- Inhambane, Mozambique we have more than 20 computers and eight connected to internet. There is great effort from our leadership of the Country, Churches and Organizations to change the situation. We pray and hope that the developed Countries can continue to play this important role so that the world can live peacefully without huge diferences that in my view does not help to bring peace in World that every country is commited to bring to its citizen.
