Blaze Media Pro is viable for recording audio files from tapes or turntables. The video features don't work as well. Don't buy BMP unless you really need and will use all the features, and are willing to pay for them repeatedly. There's Freeware out there that will save you 50 bucks and a lot of frustration. If you upgrade your hard drive or buy a new computer, you can’t re-install BMP unless you pay for it again. You get one free transfer, and that’s it. I’ve never been able to upgrade at all, and am very dissatisfied with BMP.
