Media Event Organizer is a shareware photo organizing software and can be used in conjunction with photo tools such as Picasa. Most of these tools are poor in managing your folder structure on your hard-drive. That's where Media Event Organizer can help.
Ever been in a situation where you have collected tons and tons of jpeg image files (photos) and don't have the time to go through and sort them?
Media Event Organizer sorts your pictures based on when they were taken by you. It sorts the pictures into: Year, Month, followed by Events within a month. You can do this with a few clicks.
For example, you can organize your folder structure into: "C:\Users\YourName\Pictures\Year-2010\Month-December\Europe-vacation\Day-1"
You can vary the gap between events and Media Event Organizer will recognize the gaps and automatically re-order your events for you. It also has the ability to detect duplicates (copies of the same photos from the source folder) from source and ignore them.
All features are enabled in the shareware version except the organize button (which can be purchased for a mere $10).
