A program for reading and writing zipfiles that are compatible with the PKWare archiving utility PKZip. Zip Assistant is very easy to use, step by step procedures are provided. More advanced features include zip and unzip using Windows Explorer, and QuickZip, a method for saving and recalling zip settings that is especially useful for data backup. Other features include Zip history, Zipfile comments, disk spanning, encryption, self-extracting zipfiles and zip integrity testing.
