It serves for the following: compacting and archiving files; backing-up and restoring files; opening/creating F2P, Zip, Rar, Tar, Gzip, Ace, Cab archives; compiling self-extractors. ZipScan searches archive files: Zip, CAB, RAR, ACE, InstallShield CAB, JAR, TAR, GZIP, Z, ZOO, LZH, CHM and OpenOffice files, including password-protected, nested and self-extracting archives. Supports text searching, date-restricted searching, version resource searching. Files found can be opened, viewed and extracted. ZipScan can extract both Microsoft and InstallShield CAB files. ZipScan supports CLASSPATH searching to find .class files.
