When you perform a WHOIS search on a domain name a query is sent to the registrar (the company that registered the domain). This company maintains a database of contact and ownership details.
This is an awesome program, easy to set up and run. Great for teachers, students and parents. You build your test database in the admin area. You can have multi tests. Then when you start the program, it will load the last test that was loaded in the admin area, which is password protected. When the student runs the test they just type in their name and click start.
