Archivarius 3000 is a full-text search engine letting you find documents on a PC, local network or removable drives instantly.
When you submit a query the search is performed in a matter of milliseconds thanks to an index. The program first indexes your documents by creating a list of all the words from the documents. You are free to specify what exactly you want to index, i.e. select folders, file extensions, etc. Multiple indices can be created and then you can use all or any of them for your search. There is even the possibility of updating the indices automatically.
The engine can work with natural language queries and it also understands query language operators. Document can be searched not only by content, but also by date, type, size, language and other parameters.
Apart from a simple list of found documents, search results can also be displayed as a list of documents with quotations including query words. The software enables you to overview a document before actually opening it which saves your time. |
