NameSpire will inspire you in your search for a baby name.
You can select a name from the list of 4785 names and see its meaning and origin. Unfortunately, not all names come with such information and in some cases the meaning and origin of a name as they are stated by the program are doubtful. Nevertheless, the software is very nice because it is not a mere collection of names and their meanings but also offers you some other attractive options.
You can make NameSpire display all names in its database or only those that fulfill a certain criterion. You can see a list of the longest or shortest names, gender neutral names, names with the least/most vowels, names that are similar to the word that you enter, etc. The relevant statistical information is displayed in the form of charts.
Each name comes with its popularity chart so that you can observe how its popularity has been changing over the years in the US. Moreover, you can see a list of most popular male and female names by a year or a decade and some other charts concerning popularity statistics.
NameSpire also allows you to find names by origin, meaning, gender, length, alphabet, the number of syllables, vowels or consonants combining these search criteria. |
