Editor review of 10 Amazing Fruits |
2006-03-30 |
If you are thinking of introducing your child to computers, or looking for children's entertaining and educational software, you should have a look at Ten Amazing Fruits. The program is designed for children aged 3-8 that is why it combines educational elements with some sort of a game.
Children choose a fruit they want to make look human-like. Then they can select various items such as eyes, ears, eyebrows, a nose and a mouth, and place them on the fruit. To make the fruit more elegant, children can supply it with, let's say, a hat or a bow tie. All objects are added, moved and removed very easily. Children have fun creating amazing characters and meanwhile learn to manipulate a mouse.
The game is good both for logic and imagination because children can put objects in their correct or usual positions as well as think of some original solutions. To make children more enthusiastic about playing the game, parents and teachers can tell them a fairy tale the plot of which is suggested in the program.
Children must like Ten Amazing Fruits as the pictures are cute and colorful. Besides, the rainbow in the background will help them learn who Roy G Biv is. |
