Editor review of Domain Quester
Domain Quester can be helpful to all those trying to find the right domain name for their web site. The program saves your time letting you do the search by keywords that relate to your business and that you would like to be part of your domain name. The more keywords you enter – the more results to choose from you will get. After generating a list of domain names, the program also supplies you with information on which of them are free for registration.
The program also displays an extensive list of additional keywords that you can include or exclude from your search. However, the interface does not make it clear how to remove unwanted additional keywords from the list. In this way, the interface does not seem too consistent: to check or uncheck main keywords, you have to single click the appropriate box, whereas a double click is required to check or uncheck additional keywords.
You can use a number of other options to set search criteria: to allow or disallow hyphens, set desired domain length, etc. The software also makes it easy to save keywords, as well as search results to a .txt file. Saved keyword files can be loaded into the program afterwards when you want to make a new search.
