Protect Files Pro has a clean skinnable interface – standard menu and toolbar at the top and the list of protected folders below.
To protect a folder, you need to click the add button and enter the folder path. Undeniably, integration into Windows Explorer would offer users more convenience. There are several protection modes to select from. Applying the Read only mode lets you prevent other users from deleting or modifying your files. The Hide mode makes the folder totally inaccessible. When you hover your cursor over such folder, the pop-up window will say it is empty. On trying to open the folder, an intruder will get the 'access is denied' message. It is also possible to hide a folder making it invisible, even during search. You can also choose to protect files of certain types (.exe files, .doc files, etc).

At the same time, the program itself is not invisible and can be uninstalled from control panel or start menu. Still, we can recommend it to most users who would like to keep certain files to themselves.
