Editor review of Digital Camera File Copy
Digital Camera File Copy is a very compact app that takes up almost no space on your hard drive. It does a simple trick of copying files (pictures or video) from your camera or flash drive, sorting them to date specific folders.
The interface is very basic, but is quite manageable. You should click the Modify Settings button to specify folder location, as well as folder name format (YYYYMMDD or YYYYMM, etc). You can also determine files of which format should be copied. If you don’t want all files to be deleted from your camera or flash drive after they are copied, be sure to uncheck the corresponding box (which is checked by default). Copying files may take a while. Besides, note that your files will be sorted properly only if file properties contain correct info about the date a photo was taken.
On the whole, this small freeware app is ok, but what we think is missing is a more straightforward way to display and modify settings.
