Editor review of AnyFound Photo Recovery Free Edition

This neat program will help you redeem the photos you have accidentally deleted. After you have pointed it to the partition that contained the required files (preferably, not too long since those have been erased, otherwise they might turn out overwritten with other data), the program will scan the drive and show you the list of recoverable images in a tree-like fashion. This application searches for the following image formats: jpg, bmp, gif, png, psd, tiff, swf, cdr, emf, max, wmf, and a heap of others.

Despite the impressive list of supported formats, it is anything but handy that the program only works with images. And even at this it is far from stall-proof. I have got absolutely no idea why it was so, but the program only seemed to have no problems with finding useless week-old tiny icon files, unlike the actually needed photos I had just deleted. In regard to the latter, it simply failed to see there had ever been any.
