New FDM 5.1.27 released!

Dear FDM Users!

We’ve released a new FDM version 5.1.27. Completely revamped modal dialogs are even more user-friendly. From now on, FDM will ask you if you want to finish a previously failed download instead of creating a new one. If a link has expired and you don’t want to restart the download, just use the Change URL option added to the context menu and check the status of your downloads in a new progress tab on the Info panel.

If you use a previous FDM version, feel free to upgrade and take advantage of the new features.

All the improvements wouldn’t be possible without you. We are glad to have such a great community. Check out the whole list of improvements and share your FDM experience on our forum.

Recently, a new Firefox version has been released, and by popular demand, we have updated FDM 3. The compatibility issues have been resolved, and at the moment, FDM 3 supports the latest Firefox version.

At the same time, we recommend FDM 5 for Windows and Mac. Experience a modern design and myriads of useful features.

This year, we worked hard to provide you with the new features you voted for. Now, you can enjoy the new user-friendly interface, scheduler, batch downloads, etc. After numerous bug fixes the overall FDM performance got better.

The localization process was really something special. Volunteers from all over the world helped translate the FDM user interface. We are happy to be a part of such a friendly and helpful community.

Our team is excited to inform you about the release of Free Download Manager 5.1 beta!

We did our best to bring you a brand-new version of FDM with improved stability and performance. This version is fully compatible with Windows and Mac OS X, provides fast downloads and features a powerful torrent client. Now you can enjoy a more easy-to-navigate interface that supports efficient interaction with the core, which eventually results in lower CPU and memory consumption. Also, you have the option to take advantage of Internet Explorer integration and experimental support of Microsoft Edge. The new ‘Snail mode’ will allow you to get files at low speeds without closing any connections, whereas the file space preallocation feature should greatly facilitate downloading of large files.

We’d like to thank all the users who helped us improve our FDM client by submitting feedback and feature suggestions. Your participation is very important to the overall functionality and efficiency of our client, and we plan to add even more features in future releases.

FDM 6.22 released
We are excited to announce the release of Free Download Manager, version 6.22. This latest update is equipped with improvements and bug fixes to streamline download processes and improve the overall user experience. The new release has introduced the details tab for torrents, more seamless command-line functions, as well as other interface improvements. Key fixes in FDM have addressed several concerns related to live streams downloads, wrong names of files downloaded via HTTP, automatic download start feature, and other minor issues.
