This is a great software. Thank you all, for making such a useful and user friendly download manager. Not to mention it is free. More power to you (software engineers).

Crashes after a few minutes. Tried it on 3 different computers XP SP2. No matter what settings I use, it crashed due to “runtime error” and msvcr80.dll error. I tried all suggestions I could find from others who have same problem, short of just uninstalling it. Tried the lite version as some suggested. Crashed even quicker. Finally downloaded previous version 755 build 742… so far so good. But I’m not holding my breath. Too bad these guys can’t get a handle on the crashing problem, if you google it you’ll find out how common the problems are

Great product. Just one suggestion, though: consider adding a clipboard monitoring mode that doesn’t cause a task switch / open dialog, and instead simply starts the download using default options automatically.

I’d make it toggleable in an easily accessible location like the status bar or toolbar, as well as tray icon menu, as one generally doesn’t want clipboard monitoring on all the time.

An old download manager I used to use, FileHound, had this as its main mode of operation, and I miss it so.

That was great thing about Delphi (that is not attempt at holy war), where most errors were ending in error pop-up, rather than crashing all the program entirely 🙂

I hate this when you run program, then oops – runtime error and program closed 🙂

I have only one negative comment for this excellent software:

When going to ‘Help —> Check for update now’, it says I’m using the latest version but I’m using the outdated build 747.
??? O_o

Isn’t it supposed to update to build 755 automatically?? Please fix this

i like Ù‘FDM becouse it’s support seamonkey browers.
other download mangers cann’t work in seamonkey browers like FDM.
😀

Hi….

I have been using FDM for quite sometime now. It is such a wonderful download manager. I was more than happy with it until recently. Recently, it has started freezing while downloading from p2p networks. Worse still, when I click for update now, it says I am using the latest version. What could be the problem then. Please help.

Please give priority to create Plug-Ins for Google Chrome. Its a great browser and FDM is the greatest dwonload manager, so both together will make most of our lives easy. Thank You
